The African Circular Economy Network (ACEN) together with the University of the Free State (UFS) on behalf of the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Related Service Sector Education and Training Authority (merSETA) has worked on a Circular Economy in the mer Sector webinar series.

The “Circular Economy in the mer Sector” Webinar Series provides a platform to engage, learn, and share your insights on circular economy thinking and implementation in the South African manufacturing, engineering, and related services sector. The Webinar Series has the following objectives:

Raise awareness and share information about circular economy principles and interventions that promote circular economy as a development tool for South Africa;
Initiate discussions and foster knowledge exchange about the South African’s manufacturing sector needs and its interplay with circular economy.
Bring together a diverse set of stakeholders to learn about specific circular economy interventions for the mer-sector and discuss barriers and opportunities; and,
Gather feedback and input from stakeholders regarding needs of regulatory or policy support for circularity.
