Teka Tako Ngwane Institute (TTNI) is a dynamic organisation dedicated to fostering sustainable innovation and economic resilience across South Africa. Our core mission is to drive inclusive growth through skills development, entrepreneurship, and research in emerging fields such as the circular economy, green technologies, and creative industries.
TTNI actively promotes circular economy principles through its flagship initiative, the InnovArt Program, which integrates sustainability, design thinking, and technology to address socio-economic challenges. Our upcoming InnovArt Hackathon 2025 will engage participants from all 4,668 wards in developing innovative solutions that repurpose waste, promote resource efficiency, and drive circular business models.
Beyond innovation, TTNI is committed to capacity building, partnering with municipalities, businesses, and academic institutions to provide training in Gigigreen Skills—a framework that equips individuals with expertise in circular design, sustainable production, and regenerative practices. Our DigiGreen Venture Creation initiatives support local entrepreneurs in transitioning towards circular business models by providing incubation, mentorship, and market linkages.
By fostering collaboration between stakeholders, TTNI aims to accelerate the adoption of circular economy principles across industries, ensuring environmental sustainability while creating economic opportunities, particularly in underserved communities.
