Archaea Eco

Archaea Eco is a South African circular economy company focused on developing and deploying practical waste-to-value technologies that address waste management, energy access, food production, and climate resilience. Through the integration of our biodigester and hydroponic/bioponics platforms, we convert organic waste into renewable energy, organic fertiliser, and food production inputs, creating closed-loop systems that recover value from resources that would otherwise be discarded.

Our work is driven by the belief that waste is not a problem to be disposed of, but a resource that can be transformed into economic, environmental, and social value. We actively pilot and deploy our technologies across households, farms, schools, and community settings, while collaborating with municipalities, NGOs, educational institutions, and the private sector to implement practical circular economy solutions.

We aim to show that circular living does not have to be expensive, complex, or limited to privileged environments. At Archaea Eco, we believe circular solutions must work where they are needed most, in real communities, under real conditions, and be accessible regardless of social or economic standing. By combining scientific innovation, practical ingenuity, and lived experiences, we are helping to advance resource recovery, regenerative agriculture, climate adaptation, and decentralised circular economies across South Africa.
