ERA is a registered Electrical and Electronic Equipment, Lighting and Battery Producer Responsibility Organisation with 110 members. We work primarily, in this pilot phase of Extended Producer Responsibility, on the acceleration of waste infrastructure deployment to increase the capture and processing of waste electronics, lighting and batteries. We also undertake concerted campaigns to promote public awareness, education and participation in the development of an e-waste management system and the circular e-waste circular economy. ERA has a special interest in the incorporation and remuneration of informal collectors for the services that they offer in e-waste capture in various communities and suburbs.
