Meet the team

With my background in Biotechnology and Engineering, I have always been intrigued by how nature functions and solve problems so extremely effectively. This fascination eventually led me on a clear path towards circular economy, which shows the economy and humans can still prosper without negatively impacting our environment. At CSA I lead the communications activities and support with technical activities required for CSA to run smoothly.

My first touch point with something remotely circular was reading a book on biomimicry as a 10 year old. From my passion of environmental management and people centred thinking I transitioned from wildlife genetics to circular economy during my time at the University of Johannesburg. I am project lead of CSA, working together with a wonderful team to make sure circularity is becoming the new normal.

I have a background in architecture and am enthusiastic about solving problems across various scales and domains. Over the last while, as I shifted into the non-profit sector, my deep interest in how we can move towards a society that embraces circular practices was reinforced. At CSA, I support the growth and long-term sustainability of the platform and its mission.

I am the co-owner of a gut health business focused on natural healing and a co-founder of an NGO dedicated to youth development. My experience as a Project Manager & Coordinator at Nelson Mandela University enhanced my ability to engage with diverse communities. At CSA I manage knowledge dissemination across various platforms and develop content for our community.

With a background in Industrial Engineering and Economics, and as a dedicated systems thinker, I am passionate about helping businesses create sustainable solutions through circular economy practices. Making these concepts accessible for entrepreneurs ignited my passion for content and program development. At CSA, I am proud to have been part of the team that established South Africa’s first circular economy platform.
